I used this exchange since more than 3 years and was fully identified.
Recently without any warning my account was set "in-only" due to some unexplained "technical issues", and since 22. November 2024 (nearly two weeks now!) I get absolutely no reactions from Support to my tickets and requests for explanations.
My bitcoins are not accessible without information about reason or steps to unlock them.
Disgusting situation and no support at all!

Bitcoin.de is one of the oldest marketplaces for bitcoin and a real marketplace with cash on-ramps and of-ramps. Means you can deposit cash and you can withdraw cash into your bank-account. For this reason the marketplace is much more real and not such a obscure "exchange" like the majority in crypto which are all inflated with thin air pseudo tokens like USDT etc.
For this reason the marketplace is a much better indicator for volume and real demand than many other so called "exchanges".
It's also one of the oldest marketplace (2011). You will not find bad reviews!

Great for FIAT purchases, specially with bank transfers. Wouldn't suggest this during high volume times (see a few weeks ago when BTC dropped heavily, I guess lots of transactions kinda flunk the servers out), But then again many platforms have issues like this, otherwise a very good platform.

Only German crypt marketplace. Unfortunately only a very small selection of coins. At peak times (December 2017) no trade was possible. I do not know if they have upgraded their server in this regard, as have other marketplaces / exchanges. This has not been communicated until today. Therefore only 2 stars.

Einziger deutscher Krypto Marktplatz. Leider nur eine sehr sehr kleine Auswahl an Coins. Zu Stoßzeiten (Dezember 2017) war kein Handel mehr möglich. Ich weis nicht ob sie diesbezüglich ihr Server aufgerüstet haben, wie das auch andere Marktplätze/Börsen gemacht haben. Kommuniziert wurde das bis heute nicht. Deshalb nur 2 Sterne.
Vorteil dieser Börse: Bitcoin.de arbeitet wie Kraken mit der Fidor Bank zusammen (Express Trading). Dadurch kann das Geld in Minuten transferiert werden.

The process of buying / selling on Bitcoin.de is different than on other exchanges. After selecting an offer, you directly send a wire transfer to the seller. The downside is that real time trading is not possible. However, you can sometimes find very good deals.
