I've been using Changehero for various swaps and purchases for about a year now. I do minimum of one fiat purchase when I receive my paycheck, and they work perfectly for me, since they don't do KYC when buying less than 800 USD and I never really buy more than that, so it is super easy for me.
I don't want to keep my funds on the exchange, so I just buy crypto without any logins and less than in 10 minutes they are on my wallet.
Never really had any issues with them apart from one time when my fixed swap took a bit more than usual, which made me a bit worried. Chatted with their support, received the funds in less than an hour.
In any case, speaking only from my perspective here, but Changehero has been nothing less than good for me so far

My Nightmare with ChangeHero
In March 2024, I sent $10,000 in crypto to ChangeHero. Instead of a simple transaction, they froze my funds for “KYC/AML checks.”
What followed was endless requests. I sent bank statements, proof of income, and ID videos. Then they demanded notarized translations, an origin-of-funds report, and even proof of attending crypto conferences. I ended up submitting documents five times.
Digging deeper, I found a red flag: they’re supposedly registered in Hong Kong (Herofintechs Ltd.), but also in Costa Rica (Herofintechs LIMITADA).
The Toll
My $10,000 is still frozen.
I’ve spent over $1,000 on notarizations.
I wasted 100+ hours.
Their support only says, “Your case is under review.” They stall, hide, and demand impossible proofs.
I’ve reported them. If you value your time, money, and sanity, avoid ChangeHero.
